About

My Story

At the end of 2018 I closed my psychotherapy practice of over 30 years in San Francisco. I was one of the founders of Christian Psychotherapy Services and I leave behind an outstanding group of colleagues.

My new and evolving story: I am excited to be a transplant to Sacramento and am enjoying the adventure of getting acquainted with my new environment – the Crocker Museum, River Cats games, great restaurants, contemporary churches, Second Saturday Art Walk, Effie Yeaw Nature Center, changing seasons and so much more. However, I’m not yet ready to change my allegiance from the Golden State Warriors to the Kings.

My family: I have a very long and wonderful marriage to Jack, two adult sons, an amazing daughter-in-law, and two awesome grandsons.

My faith: I have been a follower of Jesus since I was 10 years old and my faith permeates all areas of my life. (See FAQ’s to see how it informs therapy.)

Pandemic Update: I am currently seeing clients exclusively online on a secure platform (called telehealth). This has enabled me to work with clients who live throughout California. I have rejoined my colleagues at Christian Psychotherapy Services in San Francisco online for peer support, consultation, and professional development.
